WHAT WE BELIEVE
GOD
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons; the Father, God beyond us; the Son, God with us; and the Holy Spirit, God in us. The three are co-equal and together are one God.
Gen. 1:1, 26-27, 3:22; Ps. 90:2; Matt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14.
FATHER
The Father is the beginning of activity and the fountain and wellspring of all things. He is over all and through all and in all. He is to whom we offer our prayers and He, along with the Son, has the power to forgive sins. He is Merciful, Good, Sender of the Holy Spirit, Life, Light, Transcendent, Comfort, Authority, and therefore worthy of our reverent praise. Through His love, He makes us children of God.

JESUS
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the supreme and perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He resurrected (rose) from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in living the Christian life. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and all of life. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.
2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet.1:20-21; 2 Tim. 1:13; Ps. 119:105 & 160.
Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. We believe that the Bible lays out how to respond to this free gift and turn to Christ:
Trust Christ with your life – Eph. 2:8-10; John 14:1
Confess your trust in Christ as your Lord – Romans 10:9
Call on His name – Romans 10:13
Turn from your sins – Acts 17:30
Be baptized for the forgiveness of sins & the gift of the Holy Spirit – Acts 2:38
Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Gal. 3:26; Rom. 5:1; 1 Pet. 3:20 & 21.
Eternal Life
Because God gives us eternal life through our faith in Jesus Christ, and because Jesus died for our sins once and for all saves us forever, there is no condemnation for those in Christ. A person cannot have their salvation taken away from them.
*A person can however “forfeit” or “walk away” from their salvation – John 15: Hebrews 6:4-6.
John 10:29; Romans 8:1; 2 Tim. 1:12; Heb. 7:25; 10:10,14; 1 Pet. 1:3-5
